Eric Praying

We pray at every meal. The mathematician in me won't allow the word EVERY to be used without adding that we do miss a meal or two so the word every isn't exactly accurate. But boy we sure do try to give our appreciation to God for our meal and other things going on in our lives. Eric has been catching on and wanting to pray too. Sometimes he grabs my hand before or during a meal and says, "Pay!" which is pray. Here he is being thankful for his hot dogs.

What Eric said was, "Thank you. Thank you? Amen."

Emma Praying

I tried to send this to my sister-in-law Shannon but the file is too large. Emma really like to be the one to pray before our meals and even if it is not her turn she still adds the following. What you will see is what she prays for EVERY time! Not only for me, but more importantly for Aunt Shannon.

A Visit to the Dentist

Emma and Erin had their dentist appointment today. Erin watched Emma get her teeth cleaned and then it was her turn. This was Erin's first visit and she did great!

The girls had fun watching each other get their teeth cleaned. Eric will have to wait until he is three or four as that is when our dentist starts seeing children. I forgot to get pictures of Emma while she was getting her teeth cleaned so she got one with the Dentist.

A Few More Pics from Race Day

Josh won 2nd Place in his age group for the St. Patrick's Day Run.
Here he is before the award and then on the podium.

Here he is getting his trophy! And Erin was tuckered out after
the long day of fun!

Eric vs Pop Rocks

I am not sure if this will win Josh The Father of the Year Award, but it is pretty darn funny.

Disclaimer: No children were hurt during the taping of this video, however slight discomfort may have occurred.

The girls just got a few new dresses from Oma and wanted to do a photo shoot. It was really too funny and they had a great time. Thanks Oma!

Run Daddy Run

After the St. Patrick's Day Parade, there was a 10K Run for Special Olympics and being the competitive man that he is, Josh entered the race. We (meaning me and the kids) grabbed a bite to eat while Josh got ready for the race.
Here he is with Eric on his way to the starting line.

Some other people from his Battalion were in the race too.

I love these two pictures. The one above is typical of Eric and Josh being aggressive and making boy noises. The picture below is the children giving daddy's legs a "helpful" rubdown before the race. I love Josh's expression!

The race and the waiting began.

Here he comes!

There he goes!

After the race

St. Patrick's Day Parade

It was a beautiful March Saturday and time for the annual Aggieville St. Patrick's Day Parade. I must admit that the parade has gotten much better since the last time that I went, which was back with Stacy, Daimon and Drake McNew. We had to park a few blocks away but that was a great opportunity to let the munchkins run off some energy before the parade.
Here they are racing to get to the parade.

Waiting for the parade to begin.
We got a good spot to watch the parade, sitting on the curb and within candy reach.

Gathering up candy.

We love parades!!

Of course getting more candy in one hour then they get in weeks is a bonus for the kids.
By the end of the parade we were playing, "How many colors of candy are on Eric's face?"

We are looking forward to next year's parade.

Change of Command Ceremony

Here are some pictures from the ceremony.

My best friend Sherri and her husband Rusty made the journey from Georgia to attend the ceremony! Mom and Bekah helped keep Eric feed and happy.

The girls really enjoyed the ceremony, they each got a yellow rose to welcome them to the 72nd Engineer Company - they were thrilled!!!

The passing of the company flag from Col Whittle to Josh signifies that Josh is now the commander of 72nd EN CO. And then Josh giving his speech..I have a video of this on my Facebook page (thanks Jessie!).

The reception afterwards
I had to include this picture because of Eric!!!!!

Eric and Aunt Bekah. Josh and his Dad.

The new sign outside of the company and Josh talking to the soldiers before the weekend.
